I'm not claiming to be an expert, however I am more than happy to share what I have learnt, and how this learning has informed my practice. Below are presentations I have given either for my Masters of Education, or in the public arena.
2017 The Literacies of Mathematics
After attending the Dr Paul Swan professional learning in Geraldton, my colleagues and I presented to our colleagues. We had many of our colleagues attend, and as a result, for 2018 our schools considered what was going to work for our specific context, and adopted some of the strategies as a whole school approach for 2018!
2017 Skills & Trades Expo Newman
I spoke at the 2017 Skills & Trades Expo in Newman. I shared the BHP Pilbara Education Partnership's Academic Enrichment Program, and what we are doing in Newman to meet the educational needs of our high achieving students.
She's amazing! She's the founder of STEAM: Science and Technology, interpreted through Engineering and the Arts (liberal), all based in Mathematiccal elements.
Essentially, add liberal arts (not just visual art) into STEM and students are provided with opportunities for creativity, independent thought, and critical thinking.

This presentation was on the one and only Lev Vygotsky as an assessment piece for a unit on great thinkers in education. Throughout this Vygotsky presentation I covered his biography, the social context within which he was born, lived and worked, his work and accomplishments, critics comments, and pose questions for contemporary teaching practices.
